We are seeking a diligent Machine Operator to join our production team in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Machine Setup and Operation: Prepare machines for production by setting up necessary components and ensuring proper calibration. Operate machinery in accordance with established procedures to produce goods as per specifications.
Quality Control: Monitor production processes and conduct regular inspections of output to ensure products meet quality standards. Identify and address any deviations promptly.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and minor repairs. Report any significant malfunctions or safety concerns to the maintenance team.
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in safety training sessions as required.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and any maintenance activities performed.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certifications are advantageous.
Experience: Proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with various types of machinery and tools. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to detect defects and ensure quality production.

Safety Certifications: Possession of safety training certifications relevant to machine operation.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
